I Am Just Like My Momma
They said my nose is ugly. I could heard them talking and whined softly in my bed.
“We’re going to have to sell her. Her nose is too long and her head is ugly,” said Sammy.
“But I thought you said she was a great mover,” replied Annette. “Aussies are all about movement as a herding breed.”
I was born on Jan. 5, 2020. I don’t remember that day at all. I just know that’s my birthday because they told me. I do remember my 3 brothers and 1 sister but only faintly now. Except for Stefon. I see him sometimes.
My brother Stefon lives with one of the other People Mommas they call Sammy on a farm. I don’t much care for him. He is big and whiny, like most boys. He acts like a big baby most of the time.
The farm has big fields and lots of my aunts, uncles and cousins live there. I know I lived there and played with my brother Stefon everyday when I was little, but it was a long time ago now.
I am an Australian Shepherd. I know I am because they talk all the time about the breed standard. My nose is too long and my head is too slender according to this piece of paper they call the breed standard.
My sister Zarya went to Florida. I don’t know where that is but I think it is really far away. My other 2 brothers went to a farm in Georgia. Their names are Bernie and Joe. Isn’t that funny?
My Mom’s name is Moana. She is sassy and bossy. The people call her Princess or Prinny for short. They call me Kahlan or Chuckie.
